Territory Sankey: the material balance of a territory, from Eurostat
Choose a country and a year: the Eurostat economy-wide material flow accounts (EW-MFA) draw themselves as a star around the economy — domestic extraction on the left, imports below, exports above, releases to nature and net accumulation on the right — material by material: biomass, metal ores, non-metallic minerals, fossil energy materials. The indicators of material flow analysis
The panel computes the indicators of the Eurostat method: direct material input (DMI), domestic material consumption (DMC), physical trade balance (PTB), net additions to stock (NAS), in total and by material category. The inventory reads row by row, with its source, and saves to Excel.
