Map Sankey: flows between places, drawn on a map
One row per flow: origin, destination, value. A country or a large city is recognised by its name and placed on the map; any other place takes a latitude and a longitude. The country outlines are drawn behind the flows and the map frames itself on your places. You need to enable JavaScript to use this application.
A real map, or an exploded one
Imports and exports, migrations, deliveries, trips: flows are drawn where they happen. Choose the projection, or let the extent of the places decide. Explode the map around one place — each territory is detached and laid in its true direction, leaving room for the flows — when the neighbours are too close.
From a list to a map
Paste three columns from Excel, adjust by hand, export the image as PNG, SVG or PDF, or open the same diagram in the full
